Queen Of The World is a series of audiovisual installations by Yannick Franck, conceived as modern-day psychoactive rituals. The films feature Australian performer and fashion creator Shayli Harrison, with music by MT Gemini.
Driven by the trance-inducing pulse of a reggae-infused sound collage, the performer channels a syncretic divinity - an ultimate avatar of the soul of the world, as described by the ancients.
Awakening from a long sleep into a new earthly incarnation, the Queen emerges as a symbol of the magical, transformative powers of the unfathomable, the unexplained, the radically Other.
The series comprises several short films. One of them will be presented as an immersive 360° installation at TINC fest in Antwerp (BE) on November 27.
